Q Bazaar brings to you an eco-friendly rug that is made from locally-sourced jute and hemp. This rug has been hand-braided by local artisans. Jute is a plant fiber that is renewable, eco-friendly and very durable. What’s more, jute offerings are known to be quite low-maintenance. The fibers are first extracted by retting. The retting process consists of bundling jute stems together and immersing them in low, running water. After the retting process, stripping begins. In the stripping process, non-fibrous matter is scraped off, while the fibers found inside the jute stem are retained for braiding, a labor-intensive and time-consuming craft, done entirely by hand. Perfect for balconies, outdoors and indoors, this rug makes for a conscious purchase

    We accept returns or exchanges within 14 days of the date of delivery on regular priced merchandise. The item must be returned in the same condition that it was received (unworn, unwashed, unaltered, with tags attached.)
