This spectacular rug has been handwoven from high grade cotton. Plush and beautiful, it features adorable mini tassels. The urbane aesthetic makes it an ideal choice for contemporary living spaces. It takes anywhere between a few days to several months to create one rug! The weaving process starts with a master craftsman hand painting the design and indicating the colors and layout of the proposed rug. Handweaving is a strenuous process that requires perfect rhythm and coordination. After the weaving process is complete, the rug is tufted with geometric patterns that add texture and class to this contemporary piece. Indian handwoven fabrics are appreciated for their richness and fine quality. This rug also features adorable mini hand-braided tassels. Hand braiding involves interlacing thin yarns, ropes or fibres into objects such as rugs. Cotton fibers are spun into ropes and cut according to the length required. The ropes are then interlaced to form graceful braids and stitched together to be shaped into beautiful rugs like this one!
