This rustic set of baskets exhibits the tremendous potential of the workers who have spent hours to create this offering. Made from water-hyacinth, this set is eco-friendly and exquisite. For a long time, the aquatic plant was considered a nuisance and either cleared up or left unused. This infamous weed has now transformed the fortunes of many rural families, becoming a material of choice for weaving. The process of making a hyacinth offering starts with the sun-drying of stems for seven to eight days. The longer stems are preferred because they are easier to weave. These stems are then compressed to arrange them for weaving. The process of weaving is done by hand, with stems being braided and stitched to give the desired shapes. The product is free from the touch of a powered machine, making each piece truly one-of-a-kind!

We accept returns or exchanges within 14 days of the date of delivery on regular priced merchandise.
